Neuroscience Courses / FallCNP 209: Molecular Cell Biology I. Part one of a two-semester course providing a thorough survey of major topics in cell biology, neuroscience, physiology, and developmental biology. Begins in September; Meets Tues/Thurs, 9-11 AM in Arnold 106; Directors, Dan Cox, John Castellot, and Michael Forgac, 2 credits. Neuroscience 215: Experimental Neuroscience/Research Techniques. Laboratory course with individual faculty members. Begins in September; Times TBA with members of the program; 1 credit. Neuroscience 291: Journal Club. Discussion by students and advisory faculty of selected articles from the current literature. Begins in September; Meets Fridays, 11:30 AM in Arnold 106; 0.5 credit. Neuroscience 289: Student Presentations. Monthly dinner meetings focused on neuroscience student presentations of research. Begins in October; Meets one Tuesday of each month in Arnold 106; Director Michele Jacob, 0.5 credit. Neuroscience 295: Seminar Series. Presentations of scientific research by investigators in the Boston community and visiting speakers. Following the seminar, students in the first through third years participate in the discussion period and write brief reports based on the seminar material. Begins in September; Meets Wednesdays, 12 PM in Arnold 106; Director Barbara Talamo; 0.5 credit. Neuroscience 297: Graduate Research. Thesis research with selected
advisor.
